MH 1.2.0 (alpha2) Bugs with blender import !

Postby TILK » Fri Feb 22, 2019 7:17 pm

Hello,

I just wanted to point out that I have two problems with the blender import.

First, I followed your video tutorial. It worked well the first time (see the screen 1).

But now no more material is displayed when I try to reimport my human in a new blender file.

The second problem is that bones do not work and cannot be rigged properly with the mesh in blender. See my image:

Your software is great I hope I can get some help from you

Something has happened with the latest builds of blender. At least materials have changed insofar that assigning diffuse color crashes in the latest version of the blender plugin.

I'm aware of this, but haven't yet had the time to figure out what in blender has changed, or how.

I didn't tell you but I use blender version 2.79 and I haven't changed the blender or MH version since it was installed last week. So the reason for the problem doesn't seem to come from where you think it is.

I forgot to select "Cycles render" in my new blender file, that's why. I'm sorry.

However, How to merge the bones with the mesh?
I sill have this message : Bone heat weight : warning...

Same here- I can confirm that bones/materials do not work with Blender 2.8 import.

If you have the time and energy to do so, it'd be helpful to get structured bug reports posted here: https://github.com/makehumancommunity/m ... der/issues

Useful content in those would be:

* Exactly which version of blender are you using? If blender 2.80, date downloaded and/or commit hash would be desirable
* Exactly which version of the plugin are you using? As in, did it come with alpha 2? Or did you download it separately from github?
* What operating system with which locale are you using?
* What goes wrong, as in is there an error message?

Screenshots and whatever else you can think of is also welcome.

If you don't want to create a github account, posting in this forum thread works too.

If colors are crashing the application at all: len(Color) == 3 => len(Color) == 4, elif the wrong diffuse colors are displayed: that was me and should be fixed, now.
