On Fedora at least there are separate devel libraries for each package with the header files; maybe it is the same on Ubuntu.

make -f Makefile.Linux has worked for me.

Am I right? There are three was to build MakeHuman:

- compile_src.sh (OUTDATED!!!)
- make -f Makefile.Linux
- scons

unfortunately yes, we should focus on just one. We would prefer scons, as it would be one sconstruct file for all systems, but mingw doesn't want to play along.
