Makehuman not working on Ubuntu 9.10.

I can get Makehuman to run on Ubuntu but the interface is all messed up. Where buttons should be, it's only white.

I'm using the nightly builds, but I havn't been able to get any of them working. I have a Mobile Intel 945 embedded chipset.
Does anyone know?

It sounds like there's something wrong with texture loading. Do you have libsdl-image? If not, try something like sudo apt-get install libsdl-image1.2.

In order or probability, I think your problem is any of these:

  • You didn't cd into the makehuman folder before running "makehuman". It is a known bug that makehuman doesn't keep track of where it is and simply assumes that textures are in the current directory.
  • You didn't run apt-get install libsdl1.2debian libsdl-image1.2

Ie, something like running /home/me/makehuman/makehuman won't work, you'd have to do cd /home/me/makehuman && ./makehuman.
