Custom Targets

Postby Ricardo2020 » Wed Aug 28, 2024 9:10 pm

I am digging in deep with MPFB 2 and Blender 4.2 to make some very realistic SSBBW models. A screenshot depicting the environment with my sixth model is seen below.

This woman is quite large, and many of the clothing items in the library do not fit her. However, the one piece bikini does fit her quite nicely. And so, using my single light and standard lens stopped down to around f11, I grabbed a shot of her standing default using the Cycles rendering engine. This setup yields very accurate images, right down to the texture of her swimsuit and her slightly oily skin.

With the help of our illustrious Community leader Joe, I was able to get my custom target collection into Blender by placing the files within my home/richard/.config/blender/4.2/mpfb/data/custom folder. This custom folder must be created since it is not there by default. Also placed there were the targets created by Elvaerwyn. These are the key files needed to get at models which look true to life.

My custom target collection includes the HPC Visemes, special facial speech modifiers with which I was able to get her to parse her lips a bit as if she was about to say something. Although I have not gotten complete expression control, I can at least get her mouth to move. I also have a number of other targets for the eyes and such, but these were not employed for the image above as we dollied the camera in for an up close shot of her lovely face.

As for the hair, I think that will need to be blended using the particle method, since the clay strip mesh method has very limited resolution and cannot model individual hair strands which obey the laws of physics, wherein the particle hair method has practically infinite possibilities but is much more time consuming to get right. I have yet to tackle this method...
