A simple suggestion

Discussions about MakeHuman, Blender and MPFB. It is ok to ask for general Blender support here, even if it isn't directly related to MakeHuman

A simple suggestion

I believe that the option to enable all (or per category) shape keys set at zero for a body mesh would be a very useful addition to the add-on. Especially for game devs

I'm not against the idea, but I think it might need to be a bit more advanced than simply adding everything. Many targets are mutually exclusive and will cause very strange results if used at the same time. And loading all 1.2k+ target files at once would probably be a very heavy operation.

But if we can think up a workflow that makes sense, I'm willing to discuss this. Maybe we could think up some filters or something in order to only add stuff that makes sense?

I thought only the phenotype sliders where connected. Im actually referring to the rest of the categories, like eyes, chin, mouth etc. Maybe add a button at the end of each category

Often restrictions that seem reasonable at first glance are actually unnecessary. For example, a mixture of child and elder forms gives progeria — why can't it be implemented?

When designing games, there are many limitations. Mostly related to rig.

Many target files are paired on a range between -1 to +1. Take for example (in MH) modeling -> face -> head size -> move horizonatally. Here -1 to 0 is one target (move to the right) and 0 to +1 is another target (move to the left). It's not obvious what the expected result should be if you combine these two. In this particular case you probably get an invisible result when combining these two targets at the same weight, but many other targets might not fare as well.

I am aware that each slider consists of two shape keys. You can see that when you set a shape key to -1. Most of the time it's nothing like the opposite value of the slider.

that's nice, has there been any word on adding targets for each eyebrow and not for the both of them? this can be useful for creating facial expressions

The general move has been to model expressions via posing rather than via targets. This works to some extent, although for details I'm guessing targets can be useful too.

But I'm not aware of anyone working with it.

That requires rigs with facial bones then. Is the Rigs section of the Assets page the only source of rig files?
