Expressions and Poses

Discussions about MakeHuman, Blender and MPFB. It is ok to ask for general Blender support here, even if it isn't directly related to MakeHuman

Adding custom targets is supported although maybe not obvious.

If you place a .target file under you user files, data/custom, and then restart Blender, it will show up under "custom targets" on the model panel.

It works!

Thanks infinitely, Joe.

Now I can use the mighty power of Blender to get at some very realistic big people.

A featured addon for MakeHuman that was very useful to me was the weight estimation tool. I used it to log the weight of each model I made, including the muscle to fat ratio or BMI (body mass index). I have 768 targets logged that way. So far, I have six models made in Blender, but I have not logged their stats. Is there a way to add that feature in the future?

I am also looking at the hair styles for MakeHuman and am trying to figure out how to turn them into realistic items since they are very low poly compared to the model. I am thinking that these assets will have to be blended on a per model basis since high poly assets go nuts if you scale them to a larger figure. They scale well as low poly items, though. However, they look very cartoonish in Blender, no matter how you tweak the settings...

I am really digging MPFB2 and enjoying the realism offered by Cycles. It is very slow but super nice. I need a much more powerful machine...
Paddle faster. I hear charango music!
