Tried to make a robe, imported into MakeHuman, but glitched

Postby rathemighty » Thu Nov 07, 2019 6:13 am

So I made a robe in Blender, and exported it. No errors reported. However, when I imported it into MakeHuman, it broke. I think it's way too big or something, because it's filling the whole screen. I tried changing and applying the scale in Blender and exporting, but that didn't seem to do anything. Here's a picture of the glitch.

Here's what it looks like in Blender.

Do you get any information in the log?

Its the first I see this happen and I don't immediately see a good reason for it. Maybe a scale that isn't applied? This normally shouldn't cause such a problem though.

What log? Also, I tried applying the scale in Blender, and even shrunk it and re-applied the scale. Anything else I can do to help you help me?

Not entirely sure what I really see here. Black textures do not necessarily give the best contrast. Adding textures that are slightly brighter than black could be helpful for debugging...
Did you apply all modifiers before creating the clothing? Make sure there no stray vertices flying around in space and you setup vertex groups correctly.

Modifiers have been applied, no loose geometry/vertices.

Then by elimination check your vertex groups they can be quite tricky.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Checked them. Still no. Boy, this is a head-scratcher...

In the same scene: can you add a new mesh, such as a simple plane, and make clothes of that? It would be interesting to see if the same thing happens.

Just tried adding a horizontal plane through the human model as an item of clothes. Yeah... weird. It made it diagonal and huge.
