Tail as Clothes?

Postby Antiqua_Sphinge » Tue Dec 05, 2017 2:42 pm

Would it be possible for someone to make a simple 'Tail as Clothes'? As in it wouldn't have to be moved as an animation or part of the skeleton. I ask because I saw 'Wings as Clothing'.

If possible, basic skin color (fur/hairless) attaching or positioned at roughly base of the spine above the buttocks, length extending down to perhaps halfway between knee and ankle.

i had tested proxies with tails. it worked ok but with extreme character morphing it started to get distorted at the end but the base stayed ok.

It would be interesting to try the proxy.

If the tail should simply scale linearly with, say, length, you could apply the rigid groups technique outlined here: http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/ ... ng_a_sword

You would then choose three vertex point in the tail bone / lower back area to use on the body for vert group.

This way the tail shouldn't distort at all.
