Wanna take a look in my Wardrobe? :D
Here I post things I'm currently working on - at the Moment a Combat-suit ( or something similar) and a pair of ballerinas and legwarmers. Nothing finished, but maybe at the end of the week.

At the Combat-Suit the Belt and the Cap are single props, the Boots were modeled with the suit.

Hey, that's some nice work! :)

The army uniform is an interesting case for a full outfit for MH, instead of separate clothe pieces.
I'm very interested in how well they can get exported to MH. Please keep us informed as detailed as you can :)

Hm, ribbons... maybe. Could be difficult with the mask ( perhaps you don't need a mask - I hope so). Be patient :-)

well the ribbons would not as such need a Mask Layer so if you are a bit tricky with the geometry it should work

Ballerinas just for Testing -
This one are modeled on the ascott model , so they don't fit really good on the Female model - my fault, so I just have to start again.
For the next clothes I create one Version for the Female and one for the Male body .
The Texture-size is 1024 x 1024 , because maximum File size here in the Forum is 2 MB, but this should be enough for this test version.

Nice work! :)
1024 will certainly suffice for something as small as a shoe. (and certainly if your texture is not particularly detailed to begin with) When considering texture sizes, you should consider the amount of screen space the textured object will probably take up. When rendering a 1920x1080 image and the shoes take up only 10% then your texture should not be larger than 20% of that resolution. So 512x512 or 1024x1024 are certainly fine.
Or just compare with the MH base texture. It's 2056*2056, for the full body. So something about the size of half the body, like a shirt or trousers, should be 1024 to keep more or less the same resolution.

A suggestion for improvement: you could try adding more detail to the textures to make them look more real-life. Things like stitches, seams, maybe some wear and tear (used ballerinas are just that much more interesting than brand new ones).
Best approach would be to find some professional photographs of the same ballerinas taken from different angles that you can use to project paint onto your model. I'll see if I can find some of those when I have the time.

One last thing. I see you fixed the names of the textures so they have no caps, that's good. But you forgot to do it for the thumbnail (it's still Ballerinas.PNG and should be ballerinas.png). Therefore Mac and linux users will not see a picture in the library.

Could you do me/everybody a favour and make a template file that shows which bit is which??
Of course if push comes to shove i have a hosting account you could use to post files to (until the offical repo comes online) just send me a login name and password and i can setup a subdomain for you.

Hello everyone...

Here is a quick sketch of Surgical Scrubs that I did for my Psychology class. We had a Makehuman lab on Tuesday, and a few of the women students (who are going into medicine or nursing) said they thought it would be a good idea to open Makehuman with a clothed model (much like Poser).

And here's their idea:

and here is the blender model (I apologize for 2.49b):

I have UV mapped the clothes, and used very basic GIMP textures 640 x 640; also, there is a solidifed half top, that you can use with the Mirror Modifier.

You where right, but texturing comes at the end of the modeling process and inbetween I use only simple textures. Good Textures are Timeconsuming and I'm a bit picky sometimes, so I need Time to make them. But if you find some ballerinas texture especially for the soles, i would be glad.

1.) - yep, i make a seamguide, but for the new ones.
2.) Thanks for the offer, maybe I'll come back to this.

Heres a skinny, a baggy with Shooes and a top - not much, but i had really a lot to do the last week . And - after install a new nightly build, export from makehuman to blender via mhx format does not work - and, after reinstall and install a older version of MH , export does not work anyway.
Shit happens ;-)
