It's not only the type of images that caused controversy. The company that made it was accused of false advertisement as there were no pretty much no interactive women or any person in the game. The women in the pictures were not taken by Evony, but stock photos that were also found on some adult video covers as well, thus the saying 'sex sells.' Also the game play was criticized for being too much like Sid Civilization. On top of that, players and critics accused Evony of ripping them off of their money and was relatively hard to progress without buying anything.

Okay the images were more a "deceptive packaging" because they have nothing to do with the game itself. Well, that's rather poor.

We have sexy girls in car adverts, but few except the most prudish of PC wowsers would accuse the car maker of deceptive advertising when the girls don't come with the car. (^_^)V

on the other hand, no one expects a car purchase to come with a living creature attached to it, but it's not that weird for fantasy games to have humanoids in them, and for game advertisements to have images of player characters/NPCs/enemies/other things that appear in the game

This piece is based off of a youtube thumbnail of a famous Yugoslav singer Lepa Brena. It is a work in progress and welcomes constructive critiques.

You created the second Yugoslavian (also the country is no longer existent, yugoslavian simply means south-slavian, "jug" = south) singer in this forum, first one was my singer from croatian band "one piece puzzle" :D. Also your singer is more known, of course.

The picture looks rather good, but there are also 3 things you can easily improve:
  1. use "keep volume" for the character in Blender. This will help in wrist region.
  2. use "subdivision surface" for the metal parts of the boat
  3. connect flag and flagpole, small flags have fabric wrapped around the pole, but bigger ones, like this one, were fixed with rope like e.g. here https://www.yachting-pages.com/custom/image_files/British_Ensgin_Flag_of_Bermuda.jpg

But good to see you again here :)

I had done the things that you suggested, but there's still that problem with her hand. Can it only be corrected with a shape key or is it a weighting issue?

I corrected that with shape-keys connected to the rotation of the wrist.

You can also work with keep volume and corrected smoothness, like Mindfront did.

Of course we have some places where the corrections make sense. Especially shoulders, knee and elbow joints, wrists.

It depends on how often you use a character, If you only do e.g. one picture you can also apply the pose and correct this manually.

Sorry that I haven't post any new work on this forum for a while. I'm posting some new work I've just done. It's Nicki Minaj as an Ottoman noblewoman a.k.a a sultana. It was inspired by a promotional poster for the Turkish t.v. show: Magnificent Century: Kösem.

Thank you. It took me a while to create it and I was struggling with the likeness quite a bit.
