Destiny - episode 2

Well, this image is actually from the first graphic novel, but I redid it while working on the 2nd one.
Episode 2, I'm going to break a golden rule - and that is that the "look" of the graphic novel is supposed to be consistent throughout, but I have made a few breakthroughs in the way I render and create the graphic novel look, so I can't help it. The quality of the look will be even better.
And thanks to punkduck, I will not need to manually edit each and every set of eyes (they will 'shine' on their own!).
Thanks to others here and elsewhere, I've been able to streamline my workflow. It's still a heck of a task to put it all together and I would be surprised if I can get episode 2 done by the end of the year, but I'm trying!

Ok, here is a REAL preliminary shot from episode 2.
Guess what? The BODY of the character here (Captain Massey) is MHX2. The HEAD is MHX! (photoshopped)
After making several attempts to make an MHX2 model that looked like the Captain did in episode 1, I gave up. When needed, I will use this type of 'stunt double' trick hahahah.

Just noticed a problem when looking at that last render - devil is in the details.
The original render was one I sent to render farm and realized that the python script for MHX2 wasn't being processed (that's another discussion over in the bugs area - even though it's not a bug).
So, I just fixed it - this is what it SHOULD look like...note the hands.
I guess I need to really be posting this stuff in WIP...
