I am not sure where this should exactly go: I have noticed that each time I visit my post to see if I got an answer to the question in my post, the number of views for the post increments. Perhaps this ought to be fixed.

That is not really possible with the combination of our hosting architecture and the fact that PHPbb the forum software can not detect who you are period so it can not decide that you are just checking in.
