Any plans to add anime characters?

Postby NaughtDZ » Sat Mar 23, 2019 1:39 am

I used "Manuel Bastioni" to make human body, especially animation style characters(such as some Japanese style 3d animation character, you konw). Are there plans to add animation characters to Make human in the future?

Not within makehumnan ever as just exporting to blender covers all animation options creating an animation environment in makehuman would require a complete refactoring of the code base as well as all the required code to support animation since all this is already in blender why reinvent the wheel ;) though we may add an animation viewer as was in previous versions but it is not a priority.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Oh, you mean anime?

If you use search you will find 277 posts on the topic in the forum. There is surely interest. Oscalon was working on it until Manuel integrated it into his now dead Manuel Bastioni lab project. A couple of years ago, DredNicolson said he was still working on it. He said he'd be glad to share, but I don't know if he ever did [Edit: see below].

I think this thread ...
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=13993&hilit=anime&start=10#p37389

... had a link to the original oscalon anime plugin for MakeHuman (circa 2015):

EDIT: I found DredNicolson's repo'd contribution (circa 2017):
