MH Prebuild on Windows

Postby Marco_105 » Fri Dec 09, 2016 1:06 pm

The Windows compil version of this software suffer of problems i guess, some feature of morphing looks not working as expected.

I cannot run source version cause conflict with Python path not allowed it.

I can't remember to have seen any differences between Windows, Linux and source versions. Maybe you should be more specific what about "seems not to work".

The other error you are mentioning seems to be a Windows problem. Technically it's easy to install an environment to run code from source. Download the software packages mentioned in the overview of the documentation (http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/ ... e#Overview). Be careful to get python 2.7 and qt4 and strictly avoid mixing architectures (either i386 or x86_64). Then download the source zip from bitbucket and completely (!) UNZIP the whole package before first run. You can extract the package to any folder of your choice. Best keep it in Documents, and, of course, avoid system folders. That's it!

Already try it but no success, main python file won't run. Python 2.7 need a environment path variable or i can run it in other way ?

I install this conf except Pyhton which was already installed but in 2.7.6, could be thre tricks ?

Not sure, were you got your stuff from, but I highly appreciate to download directly from the vendor (e.g from here: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2712/). I assume you're on Windows 10. It is possible that those files do not run with your Windows version. Despite the fact that you should care for your architecture, you should also care for the OS and its version you are downloading for. I'd call this an absolute matter of course!

I don't think downgrading of python helps. Best practice to solve computer issues, despite of pressing the reset button, is uninstalling everything (sic!), re-downloading all from the vendors, and do a clean new setup...
