This is not exactly an answer to your question. It's not about what is missing, but about how it is presented. A few days back I had a look at
http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/Main_Page. My very first idea was, that this page doesn't do much to motivate people to go on. If I were new to MH and ended up on this page I might probably leave and never come back. In my opinion this page is a wasted chance to attract new users.
It's about a year ago that something happended to this project. As a consequence not only developement stalled a bit. Forum activity dropped and keeps dropping. It's time to stop this process. MH is Open Source, but let's act as if it was for sale and start advertising.
My idea for the root page of the documentation:
-Don't tell the people that it's the root page, but tell them about MH.
-Present some cool stuff done with MH. 3D software is sold by presenting stunning rendered images.
-Make people want to get started with MH. Tell them about the user repo, the easy way to interact with Blender.
You might consider this redundant, but redundancy is a good thing, when it comes to presenting something, that might be completely new to some people.
