Aranuvir and Loki1950 have for some time now been consistently active and helpful in answering posts on the forums. I have therefore asked them to become forum moderators, which they accepted.
The practical difference is that they get their username listed in green (which looks kind of cool and official) and that they get the ability to move topics, ban spammers and see flagged posts before they get approved.
So: all hail our new overlords
In the larger scheme of things, I'm trying to lessen the impact of having myself as a single point of failure. I think it is important that new users quickly get an answer and feel seen (even if the answer is "here's a link to the FAQ", which is the case in the vast majority of new users questions). A friendly and approachable community is almost as important for open source as the technology in the application as such. So having a few more official guys who can handle things on the forums when/if I'm away makes me feel more comfortable.
