Clothes Size Doesn't Change with the Body Size

Postby Celesty » Sat Apr 23, 2016 4:02 pm

I'm trying to make clothes size independent of the body scale. So if the shirt fits on a small person, when the person gets bigger, the shirt may not cover the whole body.

I tried to use custom but haven't figured out how.

Anyone knows how to achieve this?

Thanks so much!

Do I get you right, that you don't want the clothes to grow or shrink with the body size? What would this be good for? What software do you use to create clothes? Blender? What do you mean by "use custom"?

Sorry for replying with a bunch of questions instead of an answer, but I couldn't figure out your specific problem.

Yes, you got it right. I don't want the clothes grow with the body size, because I'm trying to show how a certain size fits on different body sizes.

I'm not using blender, just MH. Not sure if this is doing without having to touch blender.

You can't create clothes with MH. What you're trying to achieve could be done with Blender and its cloth simulation.

What you probably need is to convert your clothes into MH assets (i.e. .mhclo format). Then they will shrink and grow and adapt to human models as you model them. But to convert it you need to use blender and MakeClothes script that is not very intuitive or easy to use at this stage.

He doesn't want them to shrink and grow.

Then he could just unparent them from the rig in blender. That's the easiest thing. Breaking something is always easier than building :)
