Gums are messed up

Postby Ghastly » Wed Jan 27, 2016 5:43 am

Has anyone noticed the the centre line on the roof of the mouth and the uvula are completely messed up on the gums?

No, this hasn't been reported yet.
If you think this is a MakeHuman issue, could you add some screenshots to show the problem and add a short description of how you produced that error in the model?
Perhaps you could add it to our bug tracker.

Here is the upper gums. Every set of teeth geometry exported as an obj have this problem.

The centre line is messed up and the two sides of the uvula are too far out towards the edge of the mouth making it too wide.

This is probably what the gums were intended to look like.

It looks like a bad vertex group assignment in MakeClothes, but I don't see this problem here. Perhaps you have a later version of the teeth; my files were created in July 2014 (obj) and October 2014 (mhclo). When I export the default character as obj and delete everything but the teeth I get this:

Or it is one target that distorts them. Ghastly, if this applies it could be useful to specify what type of character this occured with. (and does it happen with completely different characters as well?)

I'm just exporting the default mesh, no editing or anything.

What about the creation date of the mhclo file? If it is later than October 2014 somebody has regenerated it, possibly without proper care of the vertex groups. If so, you should find good files in MH 1.0.2, so just copy the teeth files from there.
