Some stats

I amused myself with parsing the logs for the last three weeks (19 days). Here's some trivia:

• In the period, 14341 unique IP addresses accessed a page (any page) under http://www.makehumancommunity.com
• Forum post views (as measured by accesses to viewtopic.php) were 81277 (4277 / day or 2.85 / minute)
• The total number of accesses, including images, css files, javascript files, etc were 1079659. This is roughly 40 requests per minute, or 0.7 requests per second. This obviously peaks in prime time hours though, so in periods there are multiple hits per second.
• The most downloaded pieces of clothes (as measured by access to the .mhclo files) were crudefemaleunderwear and female_fingernails, both with 17 downloads. Since the user contrib areas require login, these are real downloads and not bot hits.

I haven't enabled the DNS resolving or geoip tracing because of performance reasons, so I haven't gotten as far as researching from which parts of the world the traffic originates.

On the other hand, popularity of crudefemaleunderwear isn't much of a surprise to me. It's a very good template for your own creations.

Yes, the finger nails would go along with the discussion about makeup. That is something a non-techie person would really like to use.
These stats are very useful for me, because it tells me which clothing worked and which didn't. I'm going to upgrade all the hairstyles, so that they will be more realistic and useful.

These stats are the first real feedback for people who uploaded some stuff. Sometimes assets get commented, sometimes they get rated, but quite often nothing happens. You really don't know whether your asset is considered useful or not. People, who don't get any feedback might be demotivated to keep on sharing their work.

Doesn't work atm, since requests are intercepted by varnish which caches the rendered pages in memory. Most requests never reach the drupal backend.

I'd have to whitelist the asset repos. Admittedly, this isn't a big deal since they require logins, but it seems a bit overkill just to get a counter going.

(the stats above are calculated from the varnish logs, not from the drupal/apache logs, so they are accurate)
