Hello!
I wonder if I can use the people I create in the makehuman app later in the animation and use this video as a presentation video for my app and as an ad. Is this allowed?

Have a nice day!

Yes

But it is necessary to clarify the license of the used assets (clothes, hair etc.)

I'm not sure if I understood but am I right that can use material, clothes, and hair in the public animation or not? It's all free until I use Makehuman models and parts? If things are from other users then I should use CC-BY.

As I understand it, you can use it, but if the thing is under a CC-BY license, you need to mention the author.

A good example of pointing out asset authors.

It is not all that complex.

If you use a CC-BY asset, you can use it in pretty much any way you want, including modifying and reselling it. BUT when doing so, you must also include information on what the original asset was and who made it. For software, putting this information in a README or a legal statement is enough. For youtube videos adding it in a rolling end credits screen, or in the video description, is enough.

In the MakeHuman videos, I use a CC-BY tune. In the final credits you can see how I fulfill the CC-BY obligations, for example at 20:30 in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jmTdhVjAsI
