MPFB 2.0.11 adds support for geometry nodes hair

I've just posted MPFB 2.0.11 on the blender extension platform. The main selling point of this release is geometry nodes hair.

It's not entirely clear how to install the “asset pack.” Where should “haireditor.json” be placed?

The zip is an asset pack, same as the other ones. You install it via the install from zip button under apply assets / library settings

It turned out something like this.

MPFB v2
Code: Select all
Apply asset —> Library settings —> Instal assets —> Load pack from zip file


But I couldn't find this algorithm anywhere. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Perhaps for those who are just getting started with MPFB, it would be helpful to suggest this path.

If the hairstyle is installed, can it only be removed from the scene node control (general)? I couldn't find how to remove a hairstyle in the hair panel, for example, to replace it with other hair.

The idea is very interesting, but it's not suitable for my purposes. Transferring a model with a hairstyle into a game engine is an extremely difficult task. I'll take another look later to see what can be done, but it's clearly not possible at the moment.
