My october: "Temple"

(Yeah, I couldn't think up any more imaginative title)

The architecture is based on "Cathedral" by Zuendholz, see http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/2259. However, that was made for Blender Internal, so I wiped all materials and made some minor polishing to make it fit for cycles.

Clothes meshes are done via cloth simulation.

Render time on my newly-built rendering machine was 40 minutes for 5000 passes.

I think some mist, godrays and fire simulations could push your image. And maybe a stone texture that makes the dimensions evident.
