My first attempt at converting a mocap .bvh file to Blender. I timed myself; it took one hour.
The big thing is to go to Frame 1, and work on the rig in Edit Mode so that the joints and bone lengths match your Makehuman model, and to rotate the arms so that the first frame is a very close match. Then using the N-key, check out the Transforms in Pose Mode; reset all rotations to 0, but don't touch the locations. This will center your model properly. I've highlighted the Hips bone so that you can see where the center of gravity is in the motion capture. I have not tweaked the IPO curves; careful choices in your Vertex groups will fix problems better.
