Houdini Workflow

Postby Atom » Mon Dec 07, 2015 2:35 pm

Hi All,

I am proceeding down the path of importing MakeHuman exports into Houdini.
I have a companion thread going on od|forum if anyone is insterested but I thought I would post some information here as well.

I am using the MotionBuilder skeleton with all the facial bones. I export this in the FBX format.
Inside Houdini I am writing a python rig controller that adds facial control and phonemes to RIG.

Here are a few initial face poses I have been able to achieve.

That's nice. If you feel that these would develop into something looking like a tutorial, maybe you could paste it in the wiki? For example somewhere here? http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/ ... _Workflows

The login/password is the same as on the forum.

Here are a couple of shots from the python auto walk script I wrote in Houdini.

The auto walk also adjusts posture in subtle ways, with hip, spine and neck tilt.
