Another MakeHuman Project I am working on: Spiderman! I am currently working on texturing it... I used the male_generic base and and used the male_muscle topology to bake a normal map. The rest was just some poly editing in blender.

Very nice.

Are you going for photorealistic in your final render?

I think I am lacking the skills to do that :D. Currently I am working on the textures. Especially the weblines are turning out to be quiet difficult to accomplish.

What software paint app are you using to create the web lines? Your best bet is a vector graphics program, that will allow you to create your textures in controllable layers, and your weblines can be thin brushstrokes made from Bezier curves. I use Inkscape, but Adobe Illustrator is another example. :geek:

I drew the weblines in blender, creating a rough mesh on top of the base model and then using subdivision surface, shrinkwrap and the skin modifier. This way I was able to directly control the look of the webs. After that I baked the textures onto the base model. I used the output of the bake to retrace the weblines in photoshop with the pen tool, wich is kind of the vector graphics part of photoshop.

Really nice progres. :-)

Maybe I could interest you in posing up the guy and putting him in a scene for the July monthly contest? Topic is "Action", see viewforum.php?f=16

Also, I'm curious on how you achieved the cloth effect. Detailed bump map or procedural?
