Are you using an algorithm for the braid? Back in 2010 I believe, a forum user actually came up with a python interface to determine how long a braid would be, and how many strands it would use.

If there is a standard algorithm--rather than manual braiding (such as I have posted)--then 'in-demand' hair features (as seen in DAZ) could be easily implemented. An example would be French braids. :)

No...I modelled it by hand.

Looks great. Is there any specific workflow or order of operations you are using in the modeling or texturing?

No..I just used the classic way. Extrude and proportional edit...
I spent a lot of time is study real hairstyles in order to figure out the geometry.
