Beach Poncho Jammer Shorts

Hello everyone...here is a garment (with a design philosophy) that I think all can use. It is a beach poncho with jammer shorts, in walk cycle.

I tried to use a subdivided rectangle with a hole in the center (an actual poncho pattern) but the draping went all funny.

After a bit of thought I got it. This is how a poncho would drape, from the front:

I then created the poncho, by draping across the knees and wrists first. After that, I used the Shrinkwrap and Cloth Modifiers, until I got a fitted poncho (a bit of an oxymoron that one). I then rigged it with automatic weights. The result was a realistic poncho that drape and folds as it should, and is very easy to correct with shape keys.

And here is the Blender file. A copy of the poncho is on layer 20, so that anyone can rig this for their own model.

Finally, here is the same design on a different model:

Happy New Year! Here is the same design, with my Aesthetica model. The big difference here is that I discovered that rotating the upper arm bone along the Y axis away from the torso is both a more natural posture, and solves of lot of problems with illegal intersections. Shape key fix-its are trivial.
