Change pose of avatars in Alpha 7

Postby 3DNewb » Wed Oct 23, 2013 8:46 am

Hi,

I need to slightly alter the default pose of the avatar in Alpha 7 (make the legs further apart and arms slightly down). I then need to make roughly 100 variations of the avatar with slightly different heights and waists and export. Any thoughts of how to best proceed? Thanks!

In alpha7 you can use the random button (in modelling) to generate random characters.
The pose needs to be edited in Blender.

Perhaps using custom targets...
Make sure you move the joint helpers too.

No guarantees that the retarget scripts will work with it, though. Maybe you will need to apply manual corrections to your animations. That is, if you use the mocap scripts.
