Cool. Is there a reaon to convert the particles to objects?

Good question. Why not just take the outcome of the Hairnet and render that hair? Well, i would have prefered that too, but unfortunately it seems as if adding hair to an eyelid doesn't mean that the hair will follow it at blinking automatically. Next reasonable guess would be to rearange the order of the modifiers (armature after hair), but at least on my version of blender that didn't work either. So i came up with this procedure.

Every time I had the problem of hair not following the armature, I made one of these mistakes.
  • Wrong order of modifiers. Particles appear in the modifier tab. Make sure they get influenced by the armature modifier.
  • I simply forgot the vertex groups.
