Postby solarmanJc » Fri Nov 07, 2014 4:03 pm

First off ..I love your Program
I work in 3D max and Make Human SAVES me a lot of time and effort
My Question is how do I make Clothing Other then what is in the program
I am making a SCI-FI character and I need a Space Suit

Thank you so much

I share a common interest with you in my attempts to produce cover art and illustrations for my science fiction writing... not published yet but very soon.

There is a plugin that comes with MakeHuman for Blender called MakeClothes. It's a bit finicky to use but once you understand what it wants it works very well.

Helmets and shoes (boots) elude me at the moment but that's due more to my being a relative novice at Blender.

I have the beginnings of a tutorial series on one of my blogs you might be interested in viewing http://3d-art.berghold.net/?page_id=115 to get your started. It assumes some level of knowledge of basic Blender workflow and use.

I took a look but I can not install Make Clothes in Blender. Do you just copy the folder or how do you install it ?

Your mileage may vary depending on the platform you are running on.

For windows you have to go to where Blender is installed under ${version_number}/scripts/addons and recursively copy the MakeHuman tools into that directory.

On Linux you go to ${HOME}/.config/blender/{$version_number}/scripts/addons and copy the toolsets there.
