How do you install new targets once you make them?

So the tutorial teaches you the basics of creating a new target using maketarget in blender, But now what?
How do you use the new target in MakeHuman? I saved it to the targets directory in the group it should go to, but that didn't do anything when I launched make human.

You didn't provide information about your OS. If you use linux all custom targets go to ~/makehuman/v1/data/custom
