Basic tips for using MakeHuman (Alpha 8)

Postby Oscalon » Tue Jan 14, 2014 11:36 am

Hello folks,

I have completed the first tutorial for my Maiko project. It gives basic artistic advice on how to achieve good results with MakeHuman. Read it here: http://www.aversionofreality.com/blog/2014/1/14/makehuman-starting-tips.

If you have any questions, ask away and I will respond here or update the post.

Great!
An interesting thip that has not been documented yet: You can restore sliders to their default position by right clicking them. I added this very recently so it's not widely known yet. Perhaps an idea to include in your tutorial.

You need to be a very recent nightly for this (not more than 2 days old).

That's very cool. There are times when I've been tweaking away and get to where I've created a swamp creature. Usually I just exit the program and start over again.

There is a "reset all" button in the top toolbar to reset.
See here: https://www.makehuman.org/doc/node/the_ ... olbar.html

And you can also use "Undo" (in the top toolbar or using CTRL+Z on the keyboard)

I have to do some more testing, but I may have uncovered a bug of some sort... I just arbitrarily moved sliders about and hit reset and nothing changed. I hit reset again and that tie it worked...

If it is repeatable I'll file a bug report...
