How do you export .mhx into blender?

I can't seem to figure out how to export .mhx's from Makehuman into Blender. Everytime I try I get this error:

I've been trying to get this to work for two days now, and no luck. Google isn't bringing anything up either.

I tried copying the files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Makehuman\importers\mhx\blender25x into C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.61\scripts\addons but all that manages to do is freeze the button in File - Addon in Blender.

I've even tried getting Blender's version 2.59 and even 2.49, and no matter what MH does not seem compatible with Blender. Non of the above work with these versions either.

All help is apreciated, thanks!

You're using the wrong version of Makehuman, not Blender.

You need Blender 2.61, which is the latest official release, and a nightly build of Makehuman. There is a link to the nightly builds on the right hand side of the main MH blog page.

The last official build of Makehuman is obsolete as far as the .mhx export is concerned.

Since this seems to come of quite often, it would be nice if this thread was stickied.
