Problems when loading BVH mocap in Blender

Hi all!
I'm having some problems when loading BVH mocaps from ACCAD in Blender 2.57 (Windows XP).
I import the makehuman model, Load, retarget, simplify a bvh mocap file from ACCAD and:
1. most of the times Blender 2.57 crashes asking me if I want to send the report to MS or
2. the mocap is loaded but the model's position and animation are a little bit odd => please see attached picture.
Does anybody know where is the problem?

The crash happens during the simplification pass. I will try to diagnose it more precisely later, but turn off F-curve Simplification for now.

What is the name of the action?

Ok, when I turn off Simplify Fcurves Blender does not crash.
The deformation of the model is still present.
I tried to ACCS action:
1. Male1_A5_PickUpBox.bvh
2. Male1_A11_CrawlForward.bvh

The male files from ACCAD cannot be used. The rest pose is too weird; the back is bent at 90 degrees and whatnot. I once reported this as a bug to Blender, before I realized that the bvh files really define such a skeleton. The female files should work fine. Some other places to find mocap data are listed at http://sites.google.com/site/makehumandocs/blender-export-and-mhx/mocap-tool/finding-mocap-files
