MHX2 does not seem to work with Makewalk

Postby simpo » Tue Aug 23, 2016 10:05 am

Hi,

I have imported a MHX2 model into Blender. However, BVH and Makewalk does not seems to work with it.

I have no problem with the original MHX format, though.

Anybody can help me? Thanks

I have not had any issues using makewalk with the mhx2 rig it's exactly the same as the old mhx rig just a new way of getting the model into blender. So check all of your steps while applying a bvh with makewalk.

Enjoy the Choice :)

There are many things unrelated to the MHX2 exporter that could be causing your problems. Did you use the cmu-mb skeleton with a Carnegie-melon .bvh file or did you use some other combination? For example, ACAAD male files do not work with Makewalk even though ACAAD female files do, because the male files were recorded using an incompatible configuration.

You say, "does not seem to work". Could you provide a little more detail on what you expect to happen that doesn't? Are you sure the same, model, skeleton, .bvh combination was used with the .mhx exporter that you say "worked"? With more detail we might have some suggestions, but I think it is unlikely to be an .mhx2 problem.
